I already have a Canadian visa, do I also need an AVE?

No, the Canada visa takes precedence over the AVE. The EVA is only required for nationals wishing to travel to Canada to benefit from visa exemption on arrival. If you already have one, there's no need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation!

This applies to all valid visas. Expired visas are of course worthless.
